Ellen Donan Castle

An unusual take on this beautiful castle on the west coast of Scotland. Deciding to paint at dusk, whilst floodlit, meant the iridescent glint of pure gold leaf animates and illuminates the scene in an unusual way and brings a sense of romance and drama.
